Find a Parent Supporter
Cuidiú Parent Supporters are trained in active listening and communication skills, they provide a listening ear as well as general support and evidence based information to support parents and carers throughout their parenthood journey.
As parents, being able to talk with ease, openly, honestly and without judgement about parenting in a safe environment is one of the most valuable services we offer through our Parent Support Sector.
Our Parent Supporters provide a listening ear as well as general support and evidence based information to support parents and carers throughout their parenthood journey. Parent supporters do not offer advice or tell you how to be the best parents. They do not have any magic solutions. But they will give you a comfortable and welcoming environment and will provide a space for you to talk in confidence about the ups and downs of parenting.

The list shows Parent Supporters in our Branches around the country and also specifies if they speak additional languages. Please remember that all are volunteers who use their personal phones and may be in a home setting when you call. Do feel free to text first to see if they might be available to take your call.
** Many of our supporters speak different languages so please do get in touch if you would like support in a language alternative to English.**

Please note the Facebook Groups may link to open Cuidiú groups. Caution should be used when posting personal information as this may be viewed by general Facebook community. It is recommended to contact the Parent Supporters in those Branches before disclosing information.
Occasionally a Peer Supporter may recognise that you’re in need of a bit more assistance. That’s nothing to worry about. Our volunteers are trained in peer support but they are not professionals, and part of their role involves helping you find the service that’s most appropriate to your situation.
